To make a photo of the Milky Way has been my dream for years. When I finally did that I realized that it's more than just a photo for me. It's a kind of therapy. Finding myself in absolute darkness I start to think what people did before they discovered fire. How was their life when the only light they had was the light of the stars and moon. How strong was their connection with the space and nature. I realize how much we've lost and how far we are from our essence. Taking a photo of the Milky Way is a kind of escape from crazy life of a big city, kind of return to the wild. For this photo I went to Knidos, ancient city near Datça because it was the darkest place in the neighbourhood. The light of the stars in complete darkness, whisper of the sea and noice of insects made me feel terrified and happy at same time..
Samanyolunu fotoğraflamak... Aslında binlerce yıl öncesine gitmektir. Issız ve neredeyse görüşün olmadığı bir yerde tamamen kendin ve doğa ile baş başasındır. Hiçbir ışık kaynağı yoktur ( elimizdeki fenerleri saymıyorum ).En ufak bir seste irkilirsin çünkü gerçek anlamda hiçbir şey görmemektesindir.
